  • Membership in FAWCO is a benefit of your AWBS membership

    As a member of AWBS, you are automatically a member of the Federation of American Women’s Clubs Overseas. (Please note that you don’t need to be an American to be a member.) Membership in FAWCO has many benefits. A few highlights:

                Education Awards to assist with the costs of high school, university or graduate school – open to both members and their children (& grandchildren)

  •             Development Grants to financially assist philanthropic projects which are passionately supported by member clubs.

  •             Cultural Volunteers program for teens – a week each summer for young people to connect and learn about volunteerism and social issues, hosted by a FAWCO Club around the world.

  •             Inspiring Women, an online magazine which profiles the lives of club members.


  •            United Nations -- as a global women’s NGO (non-governmental organisation), FAWCO holds special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. FAWCO's UN Representatives attend UN meetings on behalf of FAWCO.

Membership in FIWAL is a benefit of your AWBS membership

As a member of AWBS, you are automatically a member of The Federation of International Women’s Associations in London.

Established in 1986, FIWAL acts as an umbrella organisation for international women’s associations based in and around London.

Fiwal has three main aims :  To connect and support international women in London. To share knowledge and insights to empower Women. And to celebrate and experience a diverse range of cultures. They arrange a series of events each year to achieve these aims.

Fiwal has 29 member clubs, many nationalities and an aggregate membership of nearly 3,500 women.
